Northumbria Police are one of many organisations that support Haydon Bridge High School and police officers are in school on a regular basis working with staff and students.

The support they provide includes:

• The PSHE curriculum (issues relating to crime, disorder, antisocial behaviour and staying safe)
• Assemblies (staying safe)
• Security including security matters (mobile phones, etc)
• Drop In (advice sessions)
• Subject specific, i.e. knife crime, alcohol, drugs and visits of the drug dog into school.

The support of the Police is valued by the whole school community and contributes to the school achievement of the five outcomes of the ‘Every Child Matters’ agenda.
